Ebo Noah Remains in Custody, Facing Court Appearance
Ebo Noah, the Ghanaian man who claimed to have been instructed by God to build an ark in preparation for a devastating flood, is still in police custody. Chief Superintendent Seth Sewornu, Director of the Special Investigation Unit at CID Headquarters, confirmed that Ebo Noah will be arraigned before court today.
The police action follows Ebo Noah’s claims that his ark is 80% ready and that animals have started boarding, sparking widespread reactions on social media. While some have mocked his claims, others have expressed concerns about the potential consequences of his prophecy.
Ebo Noah had cited biblical examples, including King Hezekiah’s extended life, to justify his claims that God’s plans can change. However, critics have pointed out that the Bible also mentions God’s covenant with Noah, symbolized by the rainbow, promising never to destroy the earth with a flood again.
The Ghana Police Service has maintained a tight lip on the matter, but Chief Superintendent Sewornu’s statement suggests that Ebo Noah will face legal proceedings. The case has sparked intense debate, with some calling for mental health evaluation and others urging caution against dismissing Ebo Noah’s claims outright.
Ebo Noah’s prophecy had predicted a global destruction on December 25, 2025, and his ark-building project has been a subject of fascination and concern among Ghanaians.
The case is expected to draw significant attention when it comes before the court.
