Ebo Noah Arrested Over Failed Flood Prophecy

Self-proclaimed prophet Ebo Noah has been arrested by the Ghana Police Service over his viral prophecy predicting a catastrophic flood that failed to occur on December 25, 2025. The arrest is reportedly linked to public panic caused by his warnings, with authorities citing concerns over the spread of misinformation.
Ebo Noah, based in Takoradi, had gained widespread attention for claiming a divine instruction to build an ark in anticipation of a global flood. His messages sparked fear and anxiety among residents, particularly in Europe. Police officials explained that his statements had instilled fear, prompting action to ensure public safety .
The police had been searching for Ebo Noah since December 18, 2025, after a team failed to locate him. His parents and neighbors were questioned, but his whereabouts remained unknown until his arrest. A Liberian national, Paul Telly Jalloh, had traveled to Ghana seeking refuge on Ebo Noah’s ark, prompting police to declare him wanted.
Ebo Noah’s prophecy had sparked widespread debate, with some followers viewing him as a genuine messenger and others criticizing his actions. Authorities have reassured the public that his detention aims to maintain order and calm fears.
The Ghana Police Service has not officially confirmed charges, but lawyer Yuda Brown warns Ebo Noah could face up to three years in prison with hard labor for spreading false news and violating the Ghana Shipping Act .
As investigations continue, Ebo Noah’s supporters are reportedly planning legal representation to secure his release.
