The authority plans to collaborate with various stakeholders to create engaging content and experiences that highlight Ghana’s music, dance, and visual arts. This initiative aims to not only promote Ghana’s cultural identity but also attract tourists and investors.
The 2026 World Cup, jointly hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico, is expected to draw millions of football fans worldwide, providing a massive platform for Ghana to showcase its arts and culture. Ghana’s qualification for the tournament has generated excitement and enthusiasm among Ghanaians, with many looking forward to the country’s participation.
The government has allocated GH¢150 million to support the Black Stars’ participation in the tournament, demonstrating its commitment to sports development and national representation. A high-level committee has been established to oversee Ghana’s preparation and participation in the World Cup, focusing on football readiness, cultural, economic, and diplomatic benefits.
The committee’s objectives include promoting Ghana’s image, strengthening bilateral relations, and attracting sports investments.
