Ghana’s 24-Hour Economy Gets Boost from Parliament

 

 

Ghana’s Parliament has passed the 24 Hour Economy Authority bill, paving the way for the implementation of the National Democratic Congress’s (NDC) flagship 24 Hour Economy Policy. According to Joy News, the bill aims to coordinate and regulate the implementation of the policy, which seeks to transform Ghana’s economy into a 24-hour economy.

 

The Authority will be responsible for overseeing the implementation of the policy, which includes providing incentives for businesses to operate 24 hours, improving infrastructure, and enhancing security. The Minister of Trade and Industry, Kofi Konan, emphasized that the policy will create jobs and boost economic growth.

 

The 24 Hour Economy Policy is a key part of the NDC’s vision for Ghana’s development. The policy aims to increase productivity, reduce unemployment, and improve the country’s competitiveness.
