‘God Sent Me a Comforter’- Lilian Owusu Opens Up About Life After John Kumah
Lilian Owusu, the widow of the late Deputy Finance Minister John Kumah, has shared a heartfelt message about finding love again a year after his passing. In a recent interview, she revealed that her children and family prayed for God to send her a man to comfort her, and He answered their prayers.
Lilian explained that she had been focused on raising her six children and moving forward with her life when God brought Samuel Aryeequaye into her life. She described her new husband as a calm and kind man who brings peace and purpose to her life. “One year after my husband’s demise, my children and I prayed for God to send me a man to comfort me. He answered our prayers,” she said.
The widow of the former Ejisu MP emphasized that her decision to remarry wasn’t influenced by public pressure, but rather a conscious resolve to look forward and not dwell on the past. She believes that God has a plan for her life, and she’s trusting in His timing
Lilian’s new marriage has sparked mixed reactions on social media, with some criticizing her for moving on too quickly, while others have rallied behind her, arguing that widowhood shouldn’t condemn a woman to a lifetime of loneliness. She remains undeterred, focusing on her family and her faith.
Lilian’s story is a testament to the power of resilience and faith. She’s choosing to honor her late husband’s memory while embracing a new chapter in her life, and her message is one of hope and inspiration to many.
