Ho, Ghana – The people of Ho and the Volta Region are set to witness a significant milestone in our development journey, as President John Dramani Mahama cuts the sod for the Oxygen City project near Ho Airport on December 17, 2025. This project is a testament to our party’s commitment to transforming the lives of Ghanaians, particularly in the Volta Region.

The Oxygen City project is a game-changer for Ho and the entire region. It will bring significant investment, create jobs, and stimulate economic growth. The project will also improve the infrastructure of the area, including roads, water, and electricity, which will benefit not only the residents of Ho but also the surrounding communities.

The people of Ho and the Volta Region have been waiting for such a project for a long time. We expect Oxygen City to bring new opportunities for our youth, including jobs, training, and entrepreneurship programs. The project will also increase the revenue base of the Ho Municipal Assembly, enabling us to deliver better services to our people. I am confident that with the Oxygen City project, Ho will become a major economic hub in the region, attracting investors and visitors from across the country and beyond.

As the project takes shape, I call on all stakeholders, including the government, traditional leaders, and the people of Ho, to support this initiative. Together, we can make Oxygen City a reality and transform the lives of our people.

The implementation of Oxygen City will also have a positive impact on the local economy, as it will create opportunities for local businesses to supply goods and services to the project. This will not only boost economic activity but also contribute to the development of our local industries. Furthermore, the project will also lead to the development of social amenities such as schools, hospitals, and recreational facilities, which will improve the quality of life for our people.

I want to entreat contractors and stakeholders involved in the project to engage the many skilled artisans from the Ho Municipality to take part in the project, thereby creating jobs for our youth and contributing to the development of our community. I assure the people of Ho that we will work tirelessly to ensure that the Oxygen City project benefits the local community, and that local contractors and businesses are given priority in the implementation of the project.
