DVLA to Reach Out to Ghanaian Drivers Abroad

The Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA) is set to embark on a mission to serve Ghanaian drivers in the diaspora. According to Julius Neequaye Kottey, DVLA Chief Executive, the Foreign Affairs Ministry has granted approval for some staff to travel to the USA, Canada, UK, Netherlands, and Germany to register and renew licenses.
The move is aimed at providing convenience to Ghanaian drivers living abroad who may be facing challenges in renewing their licenses. The DVLA team will be visiting these countries to facilitate the process, making it easier for drivers to comply with regulations.
Julius Neequaye Kottey stated that the initiative is part of efforts to improve services and reach out to Ghanaians in the diaspora. The authority is committed to providing efficient and reliable services to drivers, both locally and internationally.
The countries selected for the visit are home to a significant number of Ghanaian drivers, and the DVLA is keen on serving them. The authority will be engaging with drivers, providing information, and processing license renewals and registrations on the spot.
This initiative is expected to benefit many Ghanaian drivers who have been facing difficulties in accessing DVLA services while abroad. It also highlights the government’s commitment to serving citizens beyond Ghana’s borders.
The DVLA has urged drivers to take advantage of this opportunity to regularize their documents.
