The Late Togbe Kwaku Ayim IV’s Family at Presidency

*Ziavi Traditional Area Bids Farewell to Beloved Leader Togbe Kwaku Ayim IV

 

The Chiefs and People of Ziavi Traditional Area, led by a delegation, visited the presidency today to announce the demise of Togbe Kwaku Ayim IV, the Paramount Chief of Ziavi, according to Hon. Richmond Edem Kofi Kpotosu, MP for Ho Central. The late chief was a revered leader and a stalwart of the community, known for his dedication to the development of Ziavi and its people.

 

Togbe Kwaku Ayim IV was a visionary leader who served as the Paramount Chief of Ziavi for 38 years, making him the longest-reigning Paramount Chief of post-independence Ziavi. During his reign, he made significant contributions to the development of the Volta Region, particularly in the areas of education, healthcare, and infrastructure.

 

According to reports, Togbe Ayim was a strong advocate for education, especially for the disadvantaged, and played a pivotal role in establishing the Ziavi Senior High/Technical School (ZISTECH) in 2014. He also spearheaded the establishment of the Ziavi Health Centre, now under the Ghana Health Service.

 

The late chief was a respected national leader in traditional governance and served as the Founding President of the Ziavi Traditional Council from 2018 until his passing. He was also a member of the Asogli Traditional Council and the Volta Regional House of Chiefs.

 

Togbe Kwaku Ayim IV will be remembered as a champion of education, peace, and development. His legacy will continue to inspire generations to come. The funeral arrangements are ongoing, with the customary burial rites scheduled to take place from February 20 to 28, 2026.

 

The people of Ziavi and the entire nation will remember Togbe Kwaku Ayim IV as a leader who dedicated his life to the service of others.
