A Christmas Message of Hope and Transformation: Comrade Mawutor Agbavitor Calls for Unity and Progress

Fellow Ghanaians, especially our brothers and sisters in the Volta Region,

As we celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, we’re reminded that Christmas is a time for love, compassion, and solidarity. It’s a moment to reflect on our shared humanity and the values that bind us together as a nation.

I’m heartened by the progress we’ve made in the Volta Region and across Ghana. The Mahama-led administration has taken bold steps to address the challenges facing our people, including the abolition of the COVID-19 levy, which has brought relief to hardworking Ghanaians.

Our achievements in 2025 are a testament to our commitment to the Ghanaian people:

– *Revitalizing the Economy*: We’ve stabilized the cedi and reduced inflation, making life more affordable for our people.

– *Investing in Infrastructure*: Our Big Push initiative is transforming our communities with new roads, water, and electricity projects.

– *Empowering Our Youth*: Initiatives like the Volta Trade and Investment Fair are creating opportunities for our young people to thrive.

– *Oxygen City Project*: A game-changer for Ho and the Volta Region, bringing housing, jobs, and social amenities to our people.

As we enter the new year, let’s continue to work together to build a Ghana that’s just, equitable, and prosperous for all. Let us draw strength from our diversity and unity, and strive for a brighter future for ourselves and our children.

In this festive season, let us also remember those who are struggling. Let us show kindness, generosity, and compassion to those in need, and work towards creating a society that values the dignity of every human being. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Comrade Mawutor Agbavitor,

Volta Regional Chairman, NDC.
