Burning Desire
“And he said, Let me go, for the day breaketh. And he said, I will not let thee go,
except thou bless me.” – Genesis 32:26 KJV
A burning desire is one that refuses to be ignored. Jacob’s encounter with the angel shows us that he’s determined to receive a blessing, and nothing will stop him.
When you have a burning desire, you’re willing to press in, persevere, and overcome
obstacles to attain it.
God is looking for people with burning desires – those who’ll pursue Him with all
their heart, soul, and strength. When you have a burning desire, you’ll be driven to seek God’s presence, power, and promises. Your passion will fuel your faith, and
you’ll experience breakthroughs.
A burning desire is not just about getting something from God; it’s about knowing Him more. As you pursue your desires, keep your focus on God’s goodness, love,
and faithfulness. He’ll satisfy your heart’s deepest longings and ignite a fire that’ll burn brighter.
Let your burning desire fuel your pursuit of God. Don’t settle for less – press in, and receive the blessings He has for you.
Be on fire in God’s house! Make God’s house your house. Let His presence be your passion, and His glory be your pursuit. Rise up, and take your place in God’s house
– let the fire burn!
Prayer
Heavenly Father, ignite a burning desire in me to know You more. Give me the perseverance to press in and receive Your blessings. Amen.
