The Spirit of Faith
“Having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak;” – 2 Corinthians 4:13 WEB
The Spirit of Faith is the working of God’s Spirit imparted to our human spirits when we hear the Gospel of Christ and keep hearing. It triggers sporadic and spasmodic responses to take bold steps, leading to major miracles in our lives and others’. This kind of faith requires maximum spirituality, moving us to act where there’s need, beggaring imagination when recounted.
When the Spirit of Faith gets to work, you act very audaciously – doing things you’d normally fear, leading to major miracles that defy imagination. You’ll step out in ways that shock you, doing the very things you’d avoid on a normal day. But with this Spirit, boldness overtakes fear, and the impossible becomes your pathway to breakthrough.
The Spirit of Faith is faith for exploits – like those who did mighty things through faith. “These all, having obtained a good report through faith, received not the promise, God having provided some better thing for us, that they without us should not be made perfect.” (Hebrews 11:39-40 WEB). It’s faith that moves us to do the impossible, following the examples of those who through faith inherit promises.
Let’s cultivate The Spirit of Faith – responding to God’s word and moving in His power.
Prayer
Heavenly Father, stir the Spirit of Faith in me. Help me respond to Your word and move in Your power. Amen.
