Loving The Brotherhood

“Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honour the king.” — 1 Peter 2:17 KJV

Loving the brotherhood is God’s command for His family. The brotherhood is not a club, it is the
family of faith — those born of the same Father, washed by the same blood, sealed by the same
Spirit.

To love the brotherhood is to love beyond convenience. It is to choose family over friction, unity
over offence. “Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!”
— Psalm 133:1 KJV. Where unity is, God commands blessing.

Loving the brotherhood means we bear one another’s burdens. We forgive quickly, we cover in love, we strengthen the weak, we celebrate grace. “Bear ye one another’s burdens, and so fulfil
the law of Christ” — Galatians 6:2 KJV. Love does not stand and watch a brother fall, love stoops
to lift.

Loving the brotherhood is how the world knows we belong to Jesus. “By this shall all men know
that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another” — John 13:35 KJV. Our love for each other
is our loudest sermon. When you love the brotherhood, you keep the house strong. You protect
the unity of the Spirit. You make Jesus rejoice over His family.

We love the brotherhood by the Spirit. “And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God
is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us” — Romans 5:5 KJV. When
you are filled with the Holy Spirit, He pours God’s love into your heart and makes you love the
brotherhood sincerely, fervently, and faithfully.

Prayer:
Father, thank You for making me part of Your family. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit and pour Your
love into my heart. Teach me to love the brotherhood deeply, to walk in unity, and to keep Your
house strong. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
