Opoku-Agyemang Reviews Navy To Air Force Handover

Vice President Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang today reviewed the Changing of the Guard ceremony at the Presidency in Accra as the Ghana Navy formally handed over guard duties to the Ghana Air Force in a streamed ceremony from the Jubilee House.

The Vice President inspected the parade, received the salute and acknowledged the precision drill that marks the rotational security protocol at the seat of government. The Navy contingent, having completed its tour, lowered its colours while Air Force personnel assumed responsibility for presidential security and ceremonial duties.

The ceremony showcased immaculate drill, regimental discipline and coordinated manoeuvres that reflect the professional standards of the Ghana Armed Forces. Senior officers, service chiefs and presidential staff witnessed the transition that underscores inter-service collaboration in national security architecture.

According to a Jubilee House stream, Professor Opoku-Agyemang commended the outgoing guard for exemplary service and charged the incoming Air Force detachment to uphold vigilance, decorum and constitutional loyalty. She emphasised that the ritual embodies continuity, respect for command and the symbolic assurance of stability.
