Ablakwa Accused of Dishonesty Over Presidential Jet

The Executive Director of the Media Foundation for West Africa, Sulemana Braimah, has accused former Deputy Minister of Information, who is now Ghana’s Foreign Affairs Minister  Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, of being dishonest about the state of Ghana’s Presidential jet. Braimah stated that Ablakwa was in a good position to know the true state of the aircraft but chose to be dishonest to achieve political gains.

Braimah emphasized that Ablakwa’s claims that the Presidential jet was fit for purpose and should be used by President Akufo-Addo were misleading. He suggested that Ablakwa’s comments were politically motivated and lacked credibility.

The controversy surrounding the Presidential jet has sparked intense debate in Ghana, with some calling for transparency and accountability in the management of the aircraft. The jet has been a subject of controversy, with some arguing that it is not fit for purpose due to its age and maintenance costs.

Sulemana Braimah’s comments come amid heightened tensions between the government and opposition over the management of state resources. The Media Foundation for West Africa has been vocal on issues related to transparency and accountability in governance.

The Presidential jet has been a contentious issue in Ghana, with critics arguing that it is a luxury the country cannot afford. The government has defended the use of the jet, citing the need for secure and efficient travel for the President.
