Citizens Slam Public Institutions Over Recruitment Fees

Ghanaian citizens are expressing outrage over public institutions charging job applicants fees for recruitment processes, with many handsets labeling the practice as “extremism” and “exploitation”.

According to #okayfm, Sadiq Adams, a vocal critic, took to social media to express his discontent, questioning the logic behind charging citizens for the opportunity to serve their country. Adams argued that public institutions have annual budgets and should not pass on the cost of recruitment to applicants.

The practice of charging recruitment fees has been a longstanding issue in Ghana, with many citizens feeling that it is unfair and discriminatory. Many have taken to social media to share their experiences and express their frustration, using hashtags such as #shareyourthoughts.

The public outcry has sparked a national conversation about the fairness and transparency of recruitment processes in Ghana. While some institutions have defended the fees as necessary to cover administrative costs, many citizens are demanding change.
