rCOMSDEP Warns Public of Fake Regional Coordinators
The Regional Coordinating Unit of the Ministry of Special Development Initiatives (rCOMSDEP) has issued a stern warning to the public about individuals falsely claiming to be regional coordinators authorized to act on its behalf. The fake agents have been reportedly soliciting money from unsuspecting individuals, with promises of job opportunities or other benefits.
Ama Mawusi Mawuenyefia, National Coordinator of rCOMSDEP, emphasized that the unit has not authorized any regional coordinators to act on its behalf. “We haven’t authorised any regional coordinators to act on our behalf. The public should avoid such fraudulent agents. Offenders will be prosecuted,” she stated.
The National Coordinator’s warning comes after several complaints were received from the public about individuals impersonating rCOMSDEP officials. Mawuenyefia urged the public to be vigilant and report any suspicious activities to the authorities.
rCOMSDEP is a government unit responsible for coordinating special development initiatives in the regions. The unit has been working to implement various projects aimed at improving the lives of Ghanaians, particularly in the areas of education, health, and infrastructure.
The public is advised to be cautious and only deal with authorized officials when engaging with rCOMSDEP. Anyone found impersonating rCOMSDEP officials will face the full force of the law.
