Andre Ayew Joins NAC Breda on Short-Term Deal

Veteran Ghanaian footballer Andre Ayew has signed a short-term contract with Dutch Eredivisie side NAC Breda, with an option to extend. The 36-year-old forward, who was a free agent, joins the club until the end of the 2025-26 season, aiming to help NAC Breda avoid relegation .

Ayew, a former Black Stars captain, brings a wealth of experience to the club, having played for top European teams like Olympique de Marseille, Swansea City, and West Ham United. With over 120 caps and 24 goals for Ghana, he’s expected to make a significant impact in the Eredivisie .

NAC Breda’s Technical Director, Peter Maas, expressed confidence in Ayew’s abilities, stating that his experience and qualities can be valuable to the team. Ayew himself is eager to take on the challenge, saying, “I’m someone who loves challenges, both personally and as part of a team. I want to do everything I can to help the club and my teammates”

Ayew’s arrival adds to NAC Breda’s Ghanaian contingent, alongside Dennis Odoi and Kamal Sowah. The club currently sits at the bottom of the Eredivisie table, and Ayew’s signing is seen as a boost to their survival hopes.

 

With his impressive track record, Ayew is expected to play a crucial role in NAC Breda’s fight against relegation. His experience and leadership will be invaluable to the team as they push for Eredivisie survival.
