Following the declaration of strike by the Judicial Service Staff Association of Ghana (JUSAG), the leadership of JUSAG and SSAJUG held a crucial meeting with the Chief Justice and Management of the Judicial Service with the view to resolving the impasse.
The meeting was progressive as Management showed commitment to working with the Government to meet the demands of JUSAG in order to bring the industrial action to an end. We have also sighted a revised letter from the Ministry of Finance regarding the payment of allowances.
Management agreed and tabled the outstanding issues before the Office of the President for expedited resolution. These developments are positive, and we commend the Honourable Chief Justice and Management for that. However, we wait the outcome of the interventions to enable the National Executive Council of JUSAG make a decision.
We wish to inform staff and the public that THE STRIKE IS STILL ON. When a revised and improved approval is received from the Government and satisfies our demands, we shall inform the public on the status of the strike.
💬 Howedey Insight: JUSAG says strike still on after meeting Chief Justice. Management tabled issues before Presidency and showed Finance Ministry letter, but workers await better offer.
