“The total polls in the NDC keep reducing after each electoral year even though the Volta Region is perceived as the electoral World Bank of the NDC,” Gladstone Stanley lamented. He noted that while the Volta Region has always delivered for the NDC, the numbers are dropping election after election, a situation he says should worry every loyal party member.
He added that building consensus among all factions and empowering branch and constituency executives is key to restoring confidence and improving voter turnout. “There is the need to build consensus and empower grassroots,” Stanley stated, adding that every constituency must have a voice and every activist must feel valued in the regional administration.
Party supporters who accompanied him to the vetting expressed confidence that his message of inclusion and grassroots empowerment will help reverse the declining votes and re-energize the NDC’s World Bank in Volta ahead of the 2028 general elections.
