Your Season of Elevation

“But thou, O LORD, art a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter up of mine head.” — Psalm 3:3
KJV

God lifts men. When God decides to elevate you, no man can keep you down. Your season of
elevation is not when you struggle to climb; it is when God Himself lifts you. Elevation is not
promotion by connection, but promotion by God. Men promote by favour, but God promotes by
glory. When God lifts you, He lifts your head, your name, and your life.

There are seasons of humiliation and seasons of elevation. God humbles before He lifts. He hides
before He shows. He breaks before He builds. “Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time” — 1 Peter 5:6 KJV. If you have been humble,
faithful, and consistent in the low place, your due time has come. This is your season of elevation.

Elevation is God’s work, but it requires readiness. Joseph was ready when elevation came. David
was ready when elevation came. They did not waste their low season; they grew in it. Your low
season was preparation for your high season. God is not elevating you to embarrass you; He is
elevating you because you are ready to carry His glory at a higher level.

Elevation changes your sight. When you are elevated, you see what you could not see before. You
hear what you could not hear before. You access what you could not access before. God lifts you
to see further, to influence more, to represent Him better. It is not just for you; it is for His
kingdom.

We are elevated by the Spirit. It is the Holy Spirit who lifts men. He lifted Jesus from the grave and
set Him above all principalities. “And if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell
in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies” — Romans
8:11 KJV. When you are filled with the Holy Spirit, He lifts your head, He lifts your spirit, and He
sets you on high.
Prayer: Father, thank You for being the lifter of my head. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit and lift me
into my season of elevation. Where I was low, let me be lifted. Where I was hidden, let me be
shown. Let Your glory lift me beyond where my strength can take me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
