
The clarification follows recent public pressure led by some government officials including Minister for Communications Sam George who wants the Black Stars disbanded for two years and the GFA dissolved for a complete rebuild, even if it attracts a FIFA ban.
He noted that government can collaborate with the GFA on reforms, accountability and infrastructure, but cannot unilaterally dissolve the association. His comments come at a time when the GFA and Carlos Queiroz have mutually terminated the Black Stars coaching deal, raising fresh debate about the future direction of Ghana football.
