Anointed and Assigned

“But ye have an unction from the Holy One, and ye know all things.” — 1 John 2:20 KJV

You are not just anointed, you are assigned. Anointing is not for show, it is for service. God does
not anoint you to look gifted, He anoints you to fulfill an assignment. The luxury of no protects
your anointing, but understanding assignment focuses it. “For we are his workmanship, created
in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them”
— Ephesians 2:10 KJV. Your good works were prepared before you were.

Many chase anointing without assignment and become busy without impact. Saul was anointed
but lost focus on his assignment. David was anointed and stayed with his assignment, even while tending sheep. Your assignment is where your anointing finds expression. “As every man hath
received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God” — 1 Peter 4:10 KJV. You are gifted to give, anointed to act, assigned to a people and
a place.

Your assignment may not look glamorous, but it is glorious because God gave it. It is in your
assignment that glory glows. Jesus knew His assignment. “I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day” — John 9:4 KJV. He was anointed by the Spirit without measure, yet He stayed
centered on what the Father sent Him to do. Quiet resilience keeps you when assignment gets
hard, and daily centering reminds you why you were sent.

We fulfill assignment by the Spirit. “But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come
upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me” — Acts 1:8 KJV. When you are filled with the Holy
Spirit, He anoints you afresh, confirms your assignment, and gives you staying power to complete it with joy.

Prayer:
Father, thank You for anointing me and assigning me with purpose. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit
and help me to discern and fulfill my assignment. Let my anointing not be wasted. Let my life
serve Your purpose in my generation. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
