Real Development. Starts with The People: Ahiafor

My dear brothers and sisters of Ho Central Constituency and the great people of the Volta Region,

As I journey through our communities, interact with our hardworking market women, farmers, artisans, drivers, teachers, students, and the youth, one thing becomes abundantly clear: the strength of our party and our region lies in the people at the grassroots.

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) was founded on the principles of social justice, inclusiveness, and the belief that every Ghanaian deserves an opportunity to succeed. Our tradition has always been one that places the ordinary citizen at the center of governance and development. It is this belief that has guided our party over the years and continues to inspire our vision for the future.

For us in Ho Central, development cannot be measured only by the number of projects commissioned. True development is seen when the young graduate finds employment, when the trader has access to capital to expand her business, when our roads facilitate economic growth, when quality healthcare is available to all, and when every child has access to quality education regardless of their background.

The grassroots remain the heartbeat of our great party. They are the men and women who dedicate their time, energy, and resources to keeping the NDC strong in every community. They are the reason our party remains connected to the hopes and aspirations of the people. It is therefore our responsibility as leaders to listen to them, empower them, and ensure that their sacrifices are recognized and rewarded.

As your Chairman Hopeful, I believe leadership must be about service and not privilege. It must be about bringing people together rather than dividing them. It must be about building a stronger and more united NDC capable of delivering victory at every level and advancing the development agenda of our people.

I envision a Ho Central where every branch executive feels valued, where every ward coordinator is empowered, where every polling station executive is respected, and where every party member has a voice in shaping our collective future. Together, we can build a constituency that becomes a model of unity, discipline, and effective grassroots organization.

The future of Ho Central and the Volta Region depends on our ability to work together. Let us move beyond personal interests and focus on the greater good of our party and our people. Let us strengthen our structures, deepen our engagement with the grassroots, and champion policies that improve the lives of our citizens.

The NDC has always stood for the people, and it is through the people that we shall continue to grow stronger. Let us embrace a new era of inclusiveness, respect, and development. Let us build a movement where every member matters, every community counts, and every voice is heard.

Together, we can strengthen the NDC in Ho Central. Together, we can advance development in the Volta Region. Together, we can create opportunities for all and ensure that no one is left behind.
