Mahama Calls for Bold Partnerships in Ghana’s Growth

 

 

President John Dramani Mahama has urged Ghana’s private sector to partner with government in accelerating economic growth and national development. Speaking at a Presidential Dialogue, he emphasized the need for bold partnerships to make Ghana West Africa’s production hub.

 

According to President Mahama, Ghana’s hosting of the African Continental Free Trade Area Secretariat presents a unique opportunity for businesses to expand trade, industrialisation, and regional competitiveness. He called on companies to leverage this opportunity to drive growth and development.

 

The president also stressed the need for sustainable investment in sports development, highlighting the importance of private sector support. “No country achieves sporting excellence without deliberate funding systems. I invite corporate Ghana to view this not as charity but as a partnership for national development,” he said.

 

President Mahama encouraged strong private sector support for the Ghana Sports Fund, emphasizing that sports development is a key aspect of national growth. He assured stakeholders of government commitment to creating an enabling environment for businesses to thrive.

 

The Presidential Dialogue aimed to foster collaboration between government and the private sector in driving economic growth and development. The event highlighted the importance of partnerships in achieving Ghana’s development goals.
