Vice President Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang has extended her warmest Ramadan greetings to Muslims across Ghana, emphasizing the significance of the holy month as a period of reflection, sacrifice, and compassion. According to GHOne News, the Vice President made the statement while donating essential items to the Cape Coast Central Mosque.
The donation, presented on her behalf by Dr. Kwamena Minta Nyarku, Member of Parliament for Cape Coast North, included bags of rice, cartons of milk, bottled water, and boxes of detergents. The Vice President’s gesture is aimed at easing the practical burdens on families observing the month-long fast.
In her message, Professor Opoku-Agyemang expressed her hope that the sacred period would bring peace, strength, and renewed faith to all practitioners. “During this month of reflection, sacrifice, and compassion, may Allah grant everyone peace, strength, and renewed faith,” she stated.
The Vice President’s donation is part of her efforts to promote interfaith harmony and recognize the contributions of Ghana’s Muslim communities to national development. Ramadan is a significant period for Muslims worldwide, marked by fasting, prayer, and community.
The Cape Coast Central Mosque received the donation, which is intended to assist the community in their charitable and religious activities throughout the month. The Vice President’s gesture has been welcomed by the Muslim community, who appreciate her thoughtfulness and support.
