President John Dramani Mahama has congratulated the Government and people of the United States on the occasion of the country’s 250th Independence Anniversary, reaffirming Ghana’s commitment to strengthening the longstanding relationship between the two nations.

In a goodwill message to the United States, President Mahama extended warm wishes as Americans marked the historic milestone, describing the occasion as an opportunity to celebrate the country’s enduring democratic values and achievements.

He reaffirmed Ghana’s commitment to its strong bilateral ties with the United States, noting that the relationship between the two countries has been built on decades of cooperation, mutual respect and shared democratic principles.

President Mahama expressed confidence that Ghana and the United States would continue to deepen collaboration in key sectors, including trade, investment, education, security, healthcare and economic development, for the mutual benefit of both nations.

He also wished the American people a peaceful and memorable celebration, expressing optimism that the friendship between Ghana and the United States would continue to flourish in the years ahead.

Ghana and the United States have enjoyed cordial diplomatic relations since Ghana gained independence in 1957, with the two countries maintaining close cooperation on governance, economic development, security and cultural exchange. President Mahama’s message underscores Ghana’s commitment to preserving and strengthening that partnership as the United States celebrates its 250th year of independence.
