Walking In Forgiveness
“Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.” — Ephesians 4:32 ESV
Unforgiveness is a prison you build and then live inside. Forgiveness is the key God hands you to walk out. To forgive is to release the debt someone owes you and hand the case to God. It does not mean what happened was right. It means you will not let it rule you.
“For if you forgive others their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you” — Matthew 6:14 ESV. Heaven ties your freedom to the mercy you extend. Forgiveness is a choice you make again. When the memory returns, you choose mercy again. When the wound stings, you speak blessing again.
“Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things” — 1 Corinthians 13:7 ESV. That love is Christ in you, making you soft where the world made you hard. A forgiving heart is a healthy heart. It sleeps better. It prays clearer. It carries less weight.
Let go today. Drop the record of wrongs. Choose the path of Christ. As He forgave you, forgive others.
Prayer:
Lord Jesus, heal my heart. I choose to forgive as You have forgiven me. Take the bitterness, give me Your mercy, and keep me tender toward people. Amen.
