Cheddar’s Son Impersonation Scam Rocks Accra

 

 

A shocking impersonation scam has hit Accra, targeting unsuspecting individuals, including prominent businessman and entrepreneur, Cheddar. The scam involves individuals pretending to be Cheddar’s son, making false claims and requests for money.

 

According to G24 TV, the scam has also extended to impersonating the Accra Regional Minister, with scammers making false promises and demands. The impersonators are using various tactics to deceive their victims, including fake phone calls and social media messages.

 

Cheddar has issued a statement warning the public about the scam, urging people to be cautious and vigilant. “I want to warn the public that these individuals are not my representatives, and I will not be held responsible for any transactions made with them,” he said.

 

The Accra Regional Minister’s office has also issued a statement, condemning the impersonation scam and advising the public to report any suspicious activities to the authorities.

 

The police are investigating the matter, and authorities are urging the public to be cautious when dealing with unknown individuals making false claims. “We are taking this matter very seriously and will do everything in our power to bring the perpetrators to justice,” said a police spokesperson.
