Radical Obedience

“If ye love me, keep my commandments.” – John 14:15 WEB

“And Samuel said, Hath the LORD as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the LORD? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams.” – 1 Samuel 15:22 WEB

We spent another twelve days studying essential dispositions required for success in 2026. Now we’ll proceed with an essential first doctrine in the next 7 days.

Jesus said, “Whoever is my disciple must keep my commands” (John 14:15 WEB, paraphrased). We’re obeying as an act of faith, not the unfruitful works of the flesh. The devil doesn’t fear our singing, dressing, streams, and crowds. God isn’t raising cheerleaders of a celebrity minister – God is raising soldiers with conviction.

Let’s eschew theological debates and act on divine instructions. “To obey is better than sacrifice” (1 Samuel 15:22 WEB). The path to true success is narrow: “Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction… narrow is the gate, and difficult is the way, which leadeth unto life” (Matthew 7:13-14 WEB).

In 2026, let’s choose radical obedience. Let’s walk the narrow path with conviction.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, help me choose radical obedience in 2026. Let me obey as an act of faith. Raise me as a soldier with conviction. Amen.
