Flourishing Faith

“The righteous shall flourish like a palm tree: he shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon.” – Psalm 92:12 WEB

Flourishing faith is faith patterned after the Flourishing Theology – a belief that in Christ, we’ve been made rich in every way, inside out. As scripture says, “My God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:19 WEB). God blesses us spiritually and materially, bringing abundance in every area of life. Christ is our spiritual wealth, and it impacts relationships, work, health, finances – the whole package.

Like the palm tree: its roots bring stability to the soil, its trunk provides timber for shelter, its leaves offer shade for rest, its fruits nourish people and animals, and it supports entire ecosystems in its habitat. Every part of the palm tree is useful – just like how God designed us to flourish and impact our world in every way.

With this understanding, let’s embrace the dignity of labour. God blesses us with gifts, skills, and opportunities to work – not for selfish gain, but to be conduits of His blessings. He’ll bless us with the riches of the world so we can bless God’s Mission, care for our loved ones, and reach out to those in need. Let’s work with purpose, knowing God multiplies our efforts for His glory.

Let’s cultivate flourishing faith – believing we’re blessed in Christ and living out His abundance.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, help me grasp the wealth I have in Christ. Let it shape my life and make me flourish for Your glory. Amen.
