The president’s terse response came as Allen, a 31-year-old California man, appeared in court, facing charges related to the brazen attack.
According to FBI officials, Allen had sent a manifesto to family members referring to himself as the “Friendly Federal Assassin” and expressing grievances against the Trump administration. The writings revealed a disturbing obsession with targeting senior officials, including Trump himself. Allen’s writings also contained anti-Christian sentiments, prompting Trump to describe him as a “sick guy” with a “lot of hatred in his heart”.
