According to #UTVGhana, the Ministry of Finance has given the green light for the payment of these arrears, which accumulated between August 1, 2024, and November 2025.

The GES has been working tirelessly to address the issue, and this development is expected to bring relief to thousands of teachers who have been awaiting payment. The payment is part of the government’s commitment to ensuring that teachers are paid their rightful dues.

GES officials have welcomed the news, emphasizing the importance of timely payment of salaries to motivate teachers and enhance the quality of education. “This payment is a significant step towards resolving the issue of salary arrears, and we are committed to ensuring that all teachers receive their dues promptly,” a GES spokesperson stated.

The payment of salary arrears is expected to have a positive impact on the lives of teachers and their families, as well as the education sector as a whole. The GES has assured that the payment process will be transparent and efficient, with all eligible teachers receiving their payments soon.

The issue of salary arrears has been a longstanding concern for teachers in Ghana, and this development is seen as a significant milestone in addressing the problem.
