Ho Municipality to Get Agric Centre and 24-Hour Market

The Ho Municipality is set to receive an Agricultural Centre as part of the government’s plan to establish 50 such centres across Ghana. This was disclosed by the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Stephen Adom, in an interview with Ewenyigba TV’s Morning Show host Tony Mark-Boye on Friday, 30th January, 2026.

According to Hon. Adom, the municipality has recorded a 25% increment in its Internally Generated Fund (IGF) since he took office. He also revealed that the municipality has received close to 10 million Ghana Cedis from the District Assemblies Common Fund.

The MCE further announced plans to build a lodge at the Ho Market to transform it into a 24-hour market. This initiative aims to boost economic activity and improve the overall infrastructure of the market.

Hon. Adom’s statements underscore the government’s commitment to developing the Ho Municipality and improving the lives of its residents. The establishment of the Agricultural Centre is expected to provide farmers with access to modern farming techniques and equipment, thereby increasing productivity and income.

The Ho Municipal Assembly has been working on its Medium-Term Development Plan for 2026-2029, which aligns with the government’s Resetting Agenda policy document. The plan focuses on addressing community needs and promoting development in the municipality.

The implementation of these projects is expected to have a positive impact on the municipality, creating jobs and improving the quality of life for residents.
