Ho Central Constituency Amidst Demolition Controversy Gets New Office.
The Ho Central Constituency of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has received a renovated office, previously the party’s regional office, thanks to funding from Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the party’s presidential aspirant and former Vice President.
The urgent renovation was necessitated by the demolition of the constituency office to create a car park for National Farmers’ Day celebrations in Ho. The demolition, supervised by Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) Stephen Adom, sparked controversy due to lack of prior notice to party executives.
The Party Regional Chairman, Makafui Kofi Woanya, handed over the renovated office to the Ho Central Constituency, highlighting the importance of the office to party activities. Dr. Bawumia’s funding demonstrates his commitment to boosting development in the area.
The renovated office is expected to enhance party operations in the constituency. The Party Regional Chairman expressed appreciation to Dr. Bawumia for his support, noting the office’s significance to the party’s efforts to strengthen its presence in the Volta Region.
The handover ceremony took place on January 4, 2026, in Ho, marking a significant milestone for the NPP in the region.
