The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has officially opened the process for members interested in becoming the Party’s Parliamentary Candidates for the 2028 General Elections to DECLARE THEIR INTENTION. This marks the formal beginning of the Party’s journey to select credible, competent and committed candidates who will carry the Party’s flag in all 276 constituencies.
According to the release signed by Communications Director Dennis Miracles Aboagye, interested members are to express their interest online at ppc.nppghana.org between Sunday, 1st November and Tuesday, 10th November 2026. A non-refundable application fee of GHC5,000.00 applies to every prospective candidate. All applicants will go through vetting and screening, followed by capacity building workshops in December 2026 across the Northern, Middle and Southern zones. Sitting NPP MPs are not exempt, and no campaigning is allowed until official clearance is given by the Party.
The Party says it is implementing a structured and transparent process to ensure a level playing field for all contestants, urging aspirants to conduct themselves with discipline, decorum and respect for one another. The Party’s collective focus remains a united, strengthened NPP ready to win back the confidence of Ghanaians in 2028. Further details on the vetting schedule and zonal workshop venues will be communicated in due course through the Party’s official channels.
