With All The New Facilities, Nsawam Is Now A Five-Star Prison – Muntaka Mubarak, Interior
The Minister for the Interior, Muntaka Mubarak, has described the Nsawam Medium Security Prison as a five-star facility following recent upgrades and new infrastructure.
“With all the new facilities, Nsawam is now a five-star prison,” the Interior Minister stated, highlighting improvements aimed at enhancing inmate welfare, security, and rehabilitation. The comment was made in an interview monitored by Howedey.com on EIB Network.
According to the Minister, government has invested in modernizing correctional facilities across the country to meet international standards, improve conditions for inmates, and support reformation and reintegration programmes.
He added that the upgrades at Nsawam include enhanced accommodation, health, sanitation and vocational training facilities to ensure humane custody and effective rehabilitation.
