Self-styled online pastor Nana Yaw Kwarteng, charged alongside his wife with alleged romance scams, fraud, and non-consensual sharing of intimate images, has been granted ₵1 million bail by the court. The bail condition has sparked massive reactions online following reports by EIB Network and GHOne News.

According to court proceedings monitored by Howedey.com, the prosecution argued that the online pastor used his self-styled pastoral influence to gain trust while operating alleged romance scam schemes. His wife is said to have played a supporting role in receiving and moving funds obtained through the alleged fraud.

The court, after hearing arguments from both sides, granted the accused persons bail in the sum of GH¢1 million with stringent conditions including surrender of passports and reporting to police. The case has been adjourned for further investigations and for the prosecution to file additional disclosures.
