The department explained that out of the approximately 80,000 teachers reported to have been promoted by the Ghana Education Service, the Service processed and submitted supporting documents for 56,633 cases. Following verification on the IPPD2 payroll system, the CAGD verified and paid 56,003 teachers whose records met all payroll requirements.
