The Minister noted that Ghana has already facilitated the voluntary return of some citizens who requested assistance, while others have been provided with shelter and consular support. He emphasized that government will not hesitate to scale up evacuation efforts should the security situation deteriorate further, stressing that the lives of Ghanaians abroad remain a top priority.
Mr Ablakwa urged Ghanaians in South Africa to remain vigilant, avoid volatile areas, and promptly report any threats to the High Commission via its emergency hotlines.
