According to Gabby, Bawumia’s character sets him apart from other contenders within the NPP and across the political divide. He emphasized that leadership goes beyond populism and requires calmness, humility and a clear understanding of global trends, qualities he believes Bawumia embodies. He recalled his earlier prayer for Ghanaians to buy into Bawumia’s bold solutions for shared prosperity.
He also urged NPP members to stop the self-pity and apology spree and rather defend the party’s record while rallying behind a candidate who can match new technologies with competent governance. Gabby stressed that the time has come for bold solutions and that Bawumia remains the man of the moment to take Ghana to the next level, echoing similar sentiments previously shared by former President J.A. Kufuor.
