Obedience Over Excuses
“If you love me, you will keep my commandments.” — John 14:15 ESV
Love is proven in obedience, not explanations. We often have reasons why we cannot obey now. Later. When it is easier. When people agree. But faith says, “Lord, I will do it now.” “Samuel said,
‘Has the Lord as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the Lord?
Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice'” — 1 Samuel 15:22 ESV.
Obedience opens doors that talent cannot. It protects you from cycles. It positions you for blessing. “If you are willing and obedient, you shall eat the good of the land” — Isaiah 1:19 ESV.
God is not looking for perfection. He is looking for yielded hearts. Drop the excuses today.
Say yes to the Word. Say yes to the prompt. Say yes to the correction. Your future is tied to your
next yes.
Prayer:
Lord, I choose obedience. Take my excuses. Give me a willing heart. I will follow Your Word quickly,
fully, and with joy. Amen.
