Fuel Tanker Erupts in Flames at Potsin Junction
A devastating fire has engulfed a fuel tanker at Potsin Junction on the Kasoa-Winneba Highway, gutting several residential properties and prompting a swift evacuation of nearby residents. According to #ChannelOneNews, firefighters from Apam and Kasoa have arrived at the scene to contain the blaze.
Eyewitness Yussif Mohammed recounted that the tanker, which was heading towards Winneba, veered off the road, causing the trailer to detach before catching fire. “The driver quickly alerted nearby residents, allowing them to evacuate to safety,” he said.
The incident has caused significant disruption to traffic on the busy highway, with authorities working to manage the situation and prevent further damage. The cause of the accident is yet to be determined, but investigations are underway.
