Tensions Rise in Gbeniyiri as IGP Sends Special Team

 

 

The Ghana Police Service has deployed a special team to Gbeniyiri in response to escalating tensions between some Brifos and Fulanis in the town. The move is aimed at restoring calm and preventing further reprisal attacks.

 

According to #GhanaPoliceService, the decision to deploy the team was taken to ensure the safety and security of residents and property in the area. The police have been working to identify and apprehend perpetrators of the violence.

“We will not tolerate any form of violence or lawlessness in Gbeniyiri,” said a police spokesperson. “We urge residents to remain calm and cooperate with the police to restore peace.”
