HeFRA Opens Regional Office in Ho to Boost Healthcare Standards

The Health Facilities Regulatory Agency has opened its Volta/Oti Regional Office in Ho, marking a significant milestone in the agency’s efforts to ensure that every health facility operates with the highest standards of safety, quality, and professionalism.

According to #HeFRA, the opening of the office is a timely move as the region gears up to become a health tourism hub within the sub-region. The office will serve as a center of collaboration, guidance, and continuous improvement for all health providers across Volta and Oti.

Regional Minister, James Gunu, emphasized that the initiative is not about policing health workers but about partnering with them to strengthen the health system. “Regulation is most effective when it works hand in hand with those who deliver care every day,” he said.

The Ag. Registrar of HeFRA, Dr. Winfred, highlighted the importance of the office in promoting quality healthcare in the region. The office will work closely with health facilities and workers to ensure that they meet the required standards.

The Regional HeFRA Boss, Divine Gborha, appreciated the government of John Dramani Mahama for its support and appealed for a motor vehicle for the Regional Office.

The opening of the office is expected to boost healthcare standards in the region and promote health tourism.
