Creamer: Wise Association

Creamer: Wise Association

Wednesday, 4th March, 2026

“Walk with wise men, and thou shalt be wise: but the companion of fools shall be destroyed.” – Proverbs 13:20 KJV

Today, let’s talk about wise association. It’s not about waiting for friends to choose us; it’s about choosing friends who uplift and inspire us. We’re wise because we have the Word, and we know what’s best for us. As Ghanaian wisdom says, “A tree is known by its fruit.” Let’s examine the fruit

in our relationships.

Take time to reflect on your circle. Who are you walking with? Are they encouraging you to pursue God’s best? Do they point you to Christ or distract you from Him? “Bad company corrupts good character.” – 1 Corinthians 15:33 NIV. Let’s choose friends who sharpen us, not dull us.

This doesn’t mean cutting off everyone who’s struggling, but being intentional about who we

invest in and allow to influence us. Seek God’s guidance, pray, and introspect before making

decisions about relationships. Ask yourself: Are these relationships aligning with God’s Word? Are

they helping me grow in faith?

Your future self will thank you for choosing wise associations.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, guide me in choosing wise associations. Help me surround myself with people who uplift and inspire me to follow You. Amen.
