Ex-Prince Andrew Arrested Over Epstein Links

Former UK Prince Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor was arrested on Wednesday amid allegations of misconduct in public office related to his ties with late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. The arrest marks a dramatic fall from grace for the 66-year-old royal, who was stripped of his titles in 2025.

According to Thames Valley Police, Andrew was taken into custody at a home on King Charles’ Sandringham estate in Norfolk. The investigation was sparked by allegations that Andrew shared confidential information with Epstein, who was convicted of sex trafficking and died in 2019.

The allegations against Andrew include sharing sensitive government documents and commercial information with Epstein, who was a convicted sex offender. Andrew served as Britain’s special envoy for international trade from 2001 to 2011 and had a strict code of confidentiality.

King Charles has expressed his support for the investigation, stating that “the law must take its course”. The royal family is facing increased scrutiny over its ties to Epstein, who was a friend and associate of several members of the family.

Andrew’s arrest comes after years of controversy surrounding his relationship with Epstein. In 2022, he settled a civil lawsuit with Virginia Giuffre, who accused him of sexual abuse. Giuffre died in April 2025.

The investigation is ongoing, with police searching addresses in Berkshire and Norfolk. Andrew’s arrest marks a significant development in the scandal, which has rocked the British royal family.
