Ho, Ghana – President John Dramani Mahama yesterday cut the sod for the Oxygen City Community 27 project, a 1,860-acre development situated near the Ho Airport. The project is expected to bring numerous benefits to the local community and the country as a whole.

“This is not just a sod cutting. Volta Star is having its fair share of the national cake,” President Mahama said, emphasizing the significance of the project. He added, “Integrated, well-planned communities like this will be replicated across the country.”

According to President Mahama, the project demonstrates the potential of collaboration between state institutions and private individuals. “This demonstrates what becomes possible when state institutions work in collaboration with private individuals,” he said, highlighting the importance of public-private partnerships in driving development.

The project will feature amenities such as roads, electricity, water, sanitation, healthcare, a four-star hotel, and a first-class specialist hospital, which Torgbui Afede is already engaging investors to build. A mall, entertainment center, kindergarten, junior high school, and senior high school will also be part of the project.

“The expansion of TDC beyond the Tema Acquisition Area is not accidental,” President Mahama stated, adding, “Ghana faces a housing deficit.” The project is expected to address this deficit, expand housing supply, create employment, and improve the quality of lives of Ghanaians.

“The project will expand housing supply, create employment, and improve the quality of lives of Ghanaians,” President Mahama said, expressing his confidence that the project would have a positive impact on the local economy and the country as a whole.
