Gunu Inspects, Breaks Ground for Akatsi South Projects

The Volta Regional Minister, Hon. James Gunu, has embarked on a series of inspections and sod-cutting ceremonies for crucial development projects in Akatsi South Municipality. The projects include the ongoing construction of a six-unit classroom block at Akatsi Duowodome, equipped with offices, a staff common room, and a library, as well as CHPS Compounds and classroom blocks at Zuta and Wodome.
According to the Ghana News, these initiatives are part of the government’s broader vision to strengthen local governance, enhance access to quality education and healthcare, and expand water and sanitation infrastructure in underserved communities. The projects are expected to significantly improve the quality of life for residents in Akatsi South.
Hon. Gunu’s visit to the projects underscores the government’s commitment to ensuring effective implementation and supervision of development initiatives. The Regional Minister emphasized the importance of community involvement and participation in the projects’ success.
The Akatsi South Municipal Assembly, in collaboration with the Member of Parliament, has also launched a comprehensive sod-cutting exercise for several development projects, including the drilling and mechanization of 20 boreholes to tackle water scarcity {{IE_0}}¹{{/IE_0}} {{IE_1}}²{{/IE_1}} {{IE_2}}³{{/IE_2}}.
