Comrade Mawutor Agbavitor, Volta Regional Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has extended a thoughtful gesture to Muslim communities in the region as they observe the sacred period of Ramadan. The donation, presented to Zongo Caucus Coordinators, includes a cash gift of GHS 34,000 and 18 sets of 5-in-1 bags of rice, underscoring the party’s commitment to social cohesion and community support.
The NDC’s gesture is a timely contribution to the Muslim community’s preparations for Eid-al-Fitr, fostering a sense of unity and shared progress. Agbavitor encouraged coordinators to share the blessings with their communities, emphasizing the values of kindness, compassion, and generosity that define this holy season.
Agbavitor’s initiative strengthens ties between the NDC and Zongo communities, recognizing the significant role these communities play in Ghana’s social and economic fabric. The party’s outreach efforts demonstrate its commitment to inclusivity, support for marginalized groups, and promotion of national unity.
The gesture also highlights Agbavitor’s leadership in promoting social responsibility and community engagement. His message of unity and compassion has been welcomed by the Muslim community, who appreciate the party’s efforts to reach out and support them during this sacred period.
As Ramadan draws to a close, Agbavitor has appealed to Muslims to remember the party, the region, and the leadership of H.E. John Dramani Mahama in their prayers, expressing gratitude for their support and solidarity. “We remain committed to doing more for our communities and strengthening unity, compassion, and shared progress,” he affirmed.
