The Ghana AIDS Commission is set to distribute free condoms and HIV test kits nationwide ahead of Valentine’s Day. According to CTV News, the initiative aims to promote safe sex practices and encourage people to get tested for HIV.

The distribution will target hotspots and public places, including universities, markets, and nightclubs. The Commission hopes to reach a wide audience, especially young people, with the message of HIV prevention and testing.

“HIV is still a major public health concern, and we must continue to take proactive measures to prevent its spread,” said a spokesperson for the Ghana AIDS Commission. The Commission is working with partners to ensure the success of the initiative.

The distribution of free condoms and HIV test kits is part of the Commission’s ongoing efforts to combat HIV/AIDS in Ghana. The initiative is expected to contribute to the country’s progress in reducing new HIV infections.

Valentine’s Day is often associated with increased sexual activity, making it a critical period for HIV prevention and testing. The Ghana AIDS Commission is urging Ghanaians to take advantage of the free services and prioritize their health.
